- Win, top-three, gallop and DQ rates use completed, non-scratched starts. DQ counts as a completed start, never a finishing rank.
- Expected wins sum normalized inverse final odds only where the entire active field has valid odds. Actual wins in the market comparison use the same subset. This is a market baseline, not a prediction model.
- Rank difference is market rank minus valid finish order. Positive means a better finish. DQ and incomplete odds fields are excluded.
- Km times and derived whole-race average speeds exclude scratches and DQ. They are not segment speeds or speed during a particular phase.
- Month and condition comparisons are descriptive. Horse quality, race class and opposition are not controlled; do not interpret these differences as driver or equipment effects.
- Monthly gaps have no recorded starts; they are not zero performance. Rolling rates use up to 20 completed starts within the active filters.
